I am the Spirit of Past Lurkness (not Pas Christmas, that's me cousin' ) - I gotta get this a lil undramatic


Sooooooooooooo - me personally (Emilia - ) am in exams period until the 19 of December.


So here is the deal folks. If everyone agrees with this - this was my idea from previous Journal.


I will note the password to all MEMBERS who wishes to post pics on the forum.


This means : RESPONSABILITIES !!!!!

1 - Please do not post 30 pics of the same series - we have came to an agreement in the past to limit a series to 5 pictures - please respect it.

2 - Please re-frame your pic to 300 pixels width OR 350 height (or both ^^ )

3 - Please disable the comments - and INCLUDE the link to your original one so that ppl can comment and fave and full vie YOUR picture - your art - your Talent !!

4 - Euhmmm - Ah yeah - THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL LAST IN CONCRETE THINGY - I am just outlining the idea since no mod is doing anything anymore.

2 - Please see the latest submission in our gallery - you'll understand a couple of things

3 - Now that you have had a nice heart attack - come back to life and read the following point.

4 - This club has been dead and I am partly responsible. As I mod - life happened and time got consumed and energy evaporated and enthusiasm and care and devotion became disappeared species. And following the law of nature, the other mods - participating or not - all one by one were swept by the current of "I don't give a damn any more", and all this resulted into me today, guided by a feeling of missing this club, logging in and hello surprise !!

5 - Now the happy angle (yes there is one) I will revamp this club - may you be okay or not ! This club needs a second breath ! We have too many new watchers, and new members joining us to let this club disappear into the mists of deleted accounts. Here are the main issues that will totally rock your world. (And mine since I'll be handling them)

5a - The avatar badly needs change !! I will try to make it more appealing and up to the standards of our gallery

5b - I will design a few stamps too you will find in the scraps and I would appreciate that would add it to your journals in the signature - showing you are members of this club. As I mod I will too

5c - I will clean the gallery and pics of the same theme will be reduced to a maximum number of 5. This will take a freakin' load of time so bear with me.

5d - As you saw from that famous pic - there were quite a bit of messages. I have sent out an official message for the new watchers and for the ones who faved our pieces - kindly asking them to, in the future, fave the original piece from the artist as it's our rules.

5e - I have done also some notes - still 20 to go. Do not forget I go to college and I am in the bloody projects - near final exams season. I will try to be as actual and updated as possible.

5f - I will have an ultimate journal entry and I will ask you - our MEMBERS and also our WATCHERS to please kindly identify themselves with their avatar and their status - member or watcher.

5g - I will also post another journal updating the birth dates - and ask you if you want it or not that we highlight the event.

5h - I was thinking of doing an offsite forum with ... I'll get the link eventually sorry for the trouble.

If you have not committed suicide yet - thank you and congratulations for having survived me !!

It's time for Contest #2!!!

I've had asked about doing a contest back in May and I thought that doing a Summer Vacation Contest would be fun now that summer is here!!!

So the Theme is: Summer Vacation!
Take pics of your doll having fun in the sun or relaxing by the beach. Or anything you think your doll would do for summer vacation.

Rules:
1) We will take a max of 3 - 5 pics of your dolls.
2) Send us a note marked Contest Entery with the name and link of your photos
3) You can be as creative as you like with your dolls just keep it clean. ^^



Extended Deadline: Aug 30th

Unfortunatly the outcome of the contest didn't turn out as well as expected so unless we get more entries as I have extended the contest then there will only be one winner.


Prizes:

1st Palce - 1 handmade outfit or kimono for your doll and a secret suprise!
2nd Place- 1 handmade kimono or Haori and an accessory to go with it.
3rd Place - A small goodybag of misc items.

If any of the mods would like to donate something for the prizes that would be very helpful. I would also like the voting to be mods only just so the judging goes faster and is a little easier on us.

Hey guys. Monday mod jmlukens here again.

I would like to build a dollfiedreamland website. In it will contain member information, general club information, info on contests (should we have some, I have a few ideas a-brewin), and general abjd-related information as well as links.

What I am going to need from you, the members. I would like everyone to send a note to the club or me (jmlukens) with information. You may choose to opt out of this if you want, and any information you do not want put up on the website, is completely up to you. What info am I looking for?

IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF THE NOTE PLEASE PUT CLUB WEBSITE!
IN THE BODY PUT:
dA ID, birthdate, den of angels username, lj username, website, and a link to an image you would like to represent you on the website, other memberships/etc.

The image I am talking about to represent you can be anything as long as you own the rights to it. It can be a photo of yourself, one of your dolls, your collection of dolls, a character of yours, a symbol you have made up to represent yourself. I would prefer if you stay away from other people's artwork. However, popular characters (i.e. Naruto, Nightcrawler, GIR, etc...) from anime or cartoons are ok. Please stay away from music, tv, and movie stars. Please please PLEASE no fan art or actual art that you found on DA of one of your favorite artists.

Again, any info that you don't have, don't include. If you're not on den of angels, either don't include that line or put N/A. If you don't want to put your email address, don't include it or put N/A. I'm sure you get the idea.

Other memberships include other dollfie-related boards that you belong to, if your doll has a myspace, a doll xanga you write in, etc. Please don't say "I am a 19 year old art student. I love dolls, anthro art, fashion and animals. I am studying fashion design. I have a boyfriend of 4 years that I live with in an appartment in Philadelphia. I love being a mod of dollfie-dreamland." I'm not looking for a bio or life story.

MODS: I have set up a new folder for website information. Please forward all the website information notes to that folder.

OK guys, this is jmlukens the Monday moderator. I am instating a new rule. Since no one opposed to my last journal, and moderators seem to be busy and overwhelmed or just not updating on your days (which is understandable, I've completely forgotten and been to busy before, too), there will be a new policy on updating the gallery.

No longer will submissions for the gallery be taken from the watch list of our members galleries! I deleted over 600 deviations that backdated all the way through mid May. I didn't foresee any of the moderators being able to tackle that, even working as a team. Our community has grown so much, but unfortunately that leaves us with a LOT of deviations from everyone! And we have to sort out which pertain to our own club gallery. On top of submitting, we note everyone who favorites something in the club gallery and do all sorts of other jobs. It's rather busy and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour to do only a few of these tasks. Anyway...

From now on ALL images you wish to have submitted to the CLUB GALLERY MUST be sent in via note! I know, this means you have to do a little bit of work. But the way I see it, by that 5 minutes it takes to send us that note, your peice gets looked at by more than if it had just stayed in your gallery alone.

Please, also, take into consideration the following when submitting to us, the quality of the images. Moderators have the choice to not upload something if they feel it is innapropriet in some way. This is really rare. I'm a biiig stickler for quality, presentation and creativity. If you submit a lof of images (more than say 3) of the same subject matter, it may or may not get a series tag; at the moderators' disgression.

If there is anyone that has a major problem with this system, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
